ASEV-Eastern Section Scholarship Fundraisers
The Eastern Section of the American Society for Enology and Viticulture works every year to raise scholarship funding for students who are working toward careers in viticulture and enology. In addition to an online scholarship fund (See “Donate to the Scholarship Fund” section at http://www.asev-es.org/PaypalASEVES.php), we are pleased to announce the following opportunities for 2014 scholarship fundraising: A 50/50 Raffle at the Midwest Grape and Wine Conference + Craft Brew (Feb. 4-7); a Live Auction at the Eastern Winery Exposition (March 3-5); and a Silent Auction at Wineries + Breweries Unlimited (March 11-14).
Midwest Grape and Wine Conference + Craft Brew (Feb. 4-7): Come by the ASEV-ES booth by the registration desk to purchase a 50/50 raffle ticket. The raffle winner gets half of the money!
Eastern Winery Exposition (March 3-5): Join ASEV-ES for the Live Auction at the Industry Celebration Dinner on March 4 from 8:30 to 9:00 pm. Download the Live Auction flyer for more information about the event and the Live Auction Donation Form for how vendors can donate items to the live auction.
Wineries + Breweries Unlimited (March 11-14). Join ASEV-ES for the Silent Auction during the Tour de Vin Social on March 11 from 5:30-7:00 pm. Call for Abstracts
for the 65th ASEV National Conference
and the 39th ASEV-Eastern Section Annual Meeting
June 23-27, 2014, Austin, Texas at the
Hyatt Regency Austin
This years event will be a joint conference for the 65th ASEV National Conference and the 39th ASEV
Eastern Section Annual Meeting and will be held in Austin, Texas USA. The joint Call for Abstracts can be submitted online and please review the Call for Abstracts for additional information. The deadline for all submissions is February 14,
2014. The technical abstracts that are accepted will be presented June 25–26, 2014, during this
joint conference at the Hyatt Regency Austin, Texas. We encourage submitted abstracts based on original research and research updates in all
areas of viticulture and enology.
